Fredericks @ Ormiston House
Refine Dining at its best!
Frederick's @ Ormiston House
Situated in the dining room at Ormiston House a beautiful federation home which is owned and operated by Terry & Rose Noone as a very successful bed and breakfast.
A career Chef with extensive experience both in Australia and South East Asia, Steve’s vision was to use the abundant local produce in a way that makes the ingredients the hero. Wherever possible, everything that is used at Frederick's has been sourced directly from specialised local growers and producers on the West Coast of Tasmania. Refined dining at its best.
Unfortunately children are not permitted into the home due to privacy agreements with the owners of the homestead.
Frederick's is fully licensed and offers a range of award winning Tasmanian wines including Stefano Lubiano, Josef Chromy, and Holm Oak, as well as beers and spirits.

Excellent food & service
“The best meal we've had ever!”
A great menu selection and the food is to die for. The chef Steve Bennett is a brilliant chef and he and his team very friendly and attentive to his customers. Highly recommend you visit the Bushman's Bar and Cafe, you too can experience having one of the best meals ever!
“Bushmans by name not by food”
On a recent 2 night stay in Strahan we chose to dine at the Bushmans after a cruise on the harbour and it was a great choice.
It was only the new owners 2nd night and the place was busy i wasn't sure what to expect from the menu and was pleasantly surprised.
Although not a large menu it covered all bases and had a good selection of local wines of which we sampled a few the owners were very friendly and made you feel comfortable the food was sensational perfectly cooked and presented .
There was a slight hiccup with the bill they undercharged us but hey it was their 2nd day and we were so happy with our experience that we went back and paid what we owed the next day.
Highly recommend the bushmans aslong as you're after fine food and not bush tucker.
