Restaurant & Accommodation
Strahan Tasmania. PH:61 3 6471 7612
Situated in a federation-style building in the centre of town, Bushman's was the first venture for husband and wife team Steve Bennett and Leslie Price when they moved to Tasmania from Australia.
A career Chef with extensive experience both in Australia and South East Asia, Steve’s vision was to use the abundant local produce in a way that makes the ingredients the hero. Wherever possible, everything that is used at Bushman's has been sourced directly from specialised local growers and producers on the West Coast of Tasmania. You can select live crayfish when in season directly from the live tanks, or enjoy the perfectly cooked steak, or just drop in for a quick snack of freshly baked cake or scones.
Bushman's is fully licensed and offers a range of award winning Tasmanian wines including Stefano Lubiano, Josef Chromy, and Holm Oak, as well as beers and spirits. At Bushman's they are serious about their coffee, and the service is friendly and professional.
Filled with sunlight during the day, and cosy and warm at night, Bushman's is comfortable. Outdoor seating is also available on the deck or under the veranda to capture the views and ambiance of Strahan and the harbour.
Bushman's also has three well-appointed, spacious, self- contained suites on the upper level. The rooms offer great views over the harbour and town centre and are the perfect base from which to explore the area. If you are planning on cruising the Gordon River, the departure point is directly outside
your front door.

“Bushmans by name not by food”
On a recent 2 night stay in Strahan we chose to dine at the Bushmans after a cruise on the harbour and it was a great choice.
It was only the new owners 2nd night and the place was busy i wasn't sure what to expect from the menu and was pleasantly surprised.
Although not a large menu it covered all bases and had a good selection of local wines of which we sampled a few the owners were very friendly and made you feel comfortable the food was sensational perfectly cooked and presented .
There was a slight hiccup with the bill they undercharged us but hey it was their 2nd day and we were so happy with our experience that we went back and paid what we owed the next day.
Highly recommend the bushmans aslong as you're after fine food and not bush tucker.
